Venerable Geshe Sonam Rinchen la, senior Buddhist philosophy teacher, retired

Venerable Geshe Sonam Rinchen la, senior Buddhist philosophy teacher, retired from the LTWA service effective from August 2012. Geshe la served LTWA for three and a half decades during which he had shared and taught his wisdom to thousands of students as well as helped numerous researchers, scholars and practitioners from across the world in their academic or spiritual pursuit.

LTWA also wishes to express its profound appreciation to Ms. Ruth Sonam la, volunteer translator to Geshe la, for her unstinting support and voluntary service to Geshe la and LTWA for over two decades.

LTWA administration and all the staff members wish both Geshe and Ruth la healthy, happy and long lives.
